This summer I took training in St. Petersburg, a city of the dreams !!!!!!!

These were the best and the brightest holidays throughout my life!

Well first city! It is unforgettable! Opened bridges, white nights, a huge number of incredible fountains and palaces, romantic canals and bridges !!!!! Words do not describe this beautiful city! In this city you just want to smile and live! :-)

Secondly, people. I met only hospitable, friendly and incredibly positive people! I had a great time. I did not want to go home! 6 weeks have passed like a moment. now I have friends from almost all over the world (from U.S. to Indonesia and from Russia to Brazil). It’s great!!!! J

Then children. Children - this is really positive emotions. I got satisfaction from their smiles and communication with them. really happy when you come to school and children are glad to you, they run to meet you, and everyone wants to hug you, tell you something!

I will never forget this internship. simply the events and people who turn over some of your views and make us challenge. This internship gave me a great deal! I am so happy! Thanks everyone!!!!

First few thoughts about internship in St Pete

When I was leaving home (Poland), I was kind of nervous, because my bus was late 7 hours. I felt lucky, cause I know Russian - in contrary to most people in a bus (including driver and hostess). From the airport Liza (our OCP) picked me up, and that is the beginning of my adventure ere in St Pete. The atmosphere here so is great, that I don't want to come back home, I don't even miss it. People are really great here, i have lots of fun! It's such a pity in few days my internship is going to end... But for sure one day I will come back here!!!!

Why St Pete?

Well well well...

When I was 15 years old I watched a movie called "Piter FM"... You know that Piter is a short name for Saint Petersburg, right? So, as you could have guessed this movie is about...St Pete! and love, friendship, trust and so on! I liked this movie so much! I went 4 times to the cinema just to enjoy "Piter FM"! (you can watch the trailer on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNh9_0wxC4c) aaah! I fell in love with what I saw on the screen! Old buildings, rivers and roofs! roofs of St Petersburg!
so... one day I was searching aiesec net looking for DT! and I saw TN in St Pete! (OMG! Sooo many aiesec abbreviations and I am not even an aiesecer) Did I apply for it? Yeeeeah! I did! I wanted to see this city sooooo much! and you know what? I wasn't disappointed at all... I am in love with this city!

P.S. I found one lovely roof! I felt like I am in the movie up there!

Let's explore the city !!! - impressions about St Pete

St Pete is doubtlessly a magical city. The heart of the city is around the Newski Prospekt, the main street, probably one of the longest which I have walked through. Its the best known place of meetings, as well as part of touristic route. By that street we can find everything! And there we can see the best known landmarks of the city too.
To check out more details about the current cultural events, the most recomended places its really worth to visit the web page: www.inyourpocket.com where we would find all that info.
For me the best memory would be the walk during the opening bridges. The view is just incredible. Its important to mentioned here that St Pete has a double face, one during day and second during the night, which is even more beautiful.

When u are in this Venice of North u cannot miss a trip by bout through the canals or Neva river.

Its important to explain in that place that the russian's metro phenomen. Its the deepest stituated metro in the world. Because the city is situated by the river it was necessary to built the tunels deep in the ground to prevent subsidence of wet floor.

I have to admit that Peter is the best holidays destination which I could ever dreamed about. What is more the intership gave me the oportunity to develope my profesional skills, meet the people from all over the world and build the international net of contacts and friendships. I m stricktly recomending to everyone if he just have the opportuntity to come for St Pete, to come for intership!
